We maintain open communication through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and the Remind app.

What is the daily schedule like?

How does Montessori prepare children for kindergarten and beyond?

Montessori children consistently enter kindergarten with strong reading readiness, math foundations, and self-regulation skills. Because our curriculum is academically rigorous and children work at their own pace, many are reading and working with early math concepts well before kindergarten age. Beyond academics, they tend to be confident, curious, and able to work independently – skills that serve them in any school environment. Many of our alumni have gone on to attend competitive programs like the International Academy of Macomb.

    What is your school calendar?

We follow the Macomb county school year calendar from September through June, with additional summer camp opportunities. For convenience, before- and after-care options are available for enrolled families.

How do you ensure student safety?

We have strict safety protocols in place, including secure entry systems, regular drills, and trained staff to ensure a safe environment.

What is the student-to-teacher ratio in Montessori classrooms?

Ratios vary by age group, but each classroom is designed to provide individualized attention. For example, infant and toddler rooms maintain small group sizes to ensure nurturing care, while elementary and middle school programs focus on collaborative learning with close teacher support.

How do I enroll my child?

Our enrollment process is simple and clear. First, families schedule a tour. Next, they complete an application. Finally, enrollment is confirmed with a registration payment.

Is Montessori a good fit for children with ADHD or learning differences?

Montessori is often a wonderful environment for children who learn differently, including those with ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or other learning differences. Because children choose their work, move freely, and are not expected to sit through long lectures, many children who struggle in traditional classrooms thrive here. We encourage families to schedule a tour and speak with our teachers directly so we can talk through your child’s individual needs.

What is a Montessori prepared environment?

A prepared environment is a carefully designed classroom where every material, shelf, and piece of furniture has been intentionally chosen to support children’s independence and learning. Materials are arranged by subject area, sized for children’s hands, and available for children to choose freely during work time. It allows children to explore at their own pace, develop a sense of order, and build responsibility – one of the most visible differences between a Montessori classroom and a traditional one.

What age is too late to start Montessori?

It is never too late to benefit from a Montessori education. While children who start in infancy or toddlerhood develop the deepest familiarity with the materials, children who join in preschool, kindergarten, or elementary years adapt quickly. Our teachers are skilled at welcoming new students and helping them find their footing at any stage. We recommend scheduling a visit so we can talk through the best transition plan for your child.
