Elementary Program

Overview

Our elementary program is divided into two multi-age classrooms; lower elementary (ages 6-9) and upper elementary (ages 9-12).  While in these classrooms, the students continue to have an individually paced curriculum. The academic curriculum is challenging and encourages the students to think critically and take responsibility for their own learning.  These are skills that they will continue to use throughout their lives. The students continue to work with their hands in the manipulation of materials in order to “see” in a concrete fashion the foundations of what they are learning.

Duration: 8:30-3:30

Before and aftercare: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Where: 174 Cass Ave., Mt. Clemens, MI

My two daughters have been attending MSS for five years.  They have absolutely thrived in this nurturing, caring, and safe environment.  My oldest daughter struggled with anxiety and extreme shyness; however, she is now bold and confident.  Allowing the children the freedom to choose what they want to learn allows them to become whom they are truly meant to be.  They also do not have to endure the unnecessary stress of standardized testing and constant assessments.  The owner is a wonderful person who is a true Montessorian; school is a labor of love.  She kept the children safe and secure throughout the pandemic.
