Montessori Stepping Stones • Testimonials

We are excited to share a few of the testimonials our parents have written regarding the experience their children have had here. We have always incorporated an authentic Montessori Method of teaching, that is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. We feel a great responsibility to honor Dr. Montessori’s Method, which has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world.

Can not say enough great things about MSS!!! They are so wonderful with my 2yo who was never put in daycare before. I was so nervous but by the end of my daughters first day she loved it! I highly recommend! —  Erin Toureau

“We think deciding to send our daughter to MSS is one of the best decisions my husband and I have made as parents.  I am amazed at how much she has learned and grown in less than 2 months time.  The teachers are amazing individuals of which our daughter can’t say enough good things about them. She loves her new friends, she loves Ms. Sue and is singing even more now than she ever was and can’t wait to go to school the next day.
She has even on occasion asked to get a lunchbox so she can stay all day with her friends!  As a full time working mother, you worry about the choices you make – should I have stayed home longer, am I providing enough/the right opportunities, is she missing something in her life?  MSS has helped to put those worries and concerns to rest.  I know now she is in the right place getting everything she needs.
MSS is feeding her hunger to learn and helping her to become a great all around kid.  I know as parents we must be involved, strong role models, teaching by our own behavior but with MSS helping to encourage and strengthen those expectations it is reassuring to know we are doing something right. Thanks again!”

Love this school and the teachers in it!! My son is almost 2 and loves going to school. They have taught him so much and he only goes 2 days a week. I love how they let them be creative and learn what they are interested in.  —  Jennifer Case

As a certified teacher, I worried about what curriculum would be like for my granddaughters. They are both very bright and the eldest, a kindergartner had moved from a very highly rated district, Elkhorn Public Schools, in Omaha. Two months into the program, I knew everything would be fine. Our kindergartener was coming home and explaining the different continents… she was learning and loving every moment of it. We love this school. The rigor and curriculum are excellent and the socialization is easy and warm for the students. Our Vivienne and Adelyn have made nice friends and really do love their teachers. —  Kimberly Johnson Rutledge

MSS is a special place – where children are treated respectfully, are given opportunities that generally don’t exist in non-montessori environments (ex: pre-schoolers [and up] performing significant stage productions) and a whole lot of hands on, individualized learning.
